As we enter the winter holiday period, I got to thinking what I am most thankful for as a cycling fan. Below is a list of 10 items that I have been grateful for over the past cycling season . . .
1. Cool bikes.
2. That every pro isn't as dishonest as Ricco, Schumacher, or Kohl.
3. Alberto Contador. His grand tour performances were some of the best of 2008.
4. Podium girls.
5. Redemption.
6. Zabriskie's crazy facial hair. And Cozza's for that matter.
7. A new world champion.
8. That Carlos Sastre finally got his grand tour win.
9. That Skeletor was nowhere to be found, at least not on a bike.
10. That everyone and their mother has decided to come back for the 2009 season.
So that's what I was grateful about for 2009, how about you?

That the Tour of Missouri is better than it was last year. And last year it was pretty great.
